Wayne helped in greatly improving BioDev and BioEng's agile development process. Improving how we define, refine, and assign issues has made us one of the most productive teams
His superpower is prioritizing
Wayne is good at understanding the user requirements and work with the engineering team to develop solutions where they are of greatest impact. He also has a commanding understanding of the nature of the data going through our system.
Wayne is an expert at catching when someone has a challenge they aren't sharing or noticing when a Jira issue isn't clear enough for someone. He does an excellent job of providing a supportive and collaborative environment where we can draw those things out and fix them.
The decision to promote you is a direct result of your dedication, commitment, and outstanding performance. Your willingness to jump in and support the team and the organization in 2023 has not gone unnoticed and we appreciate all of the hard work you have been doing.
In particular, it was noted that you have taken on a vast amount of additional job responsibilities, especially after the departures of Z and C, and not only have you stepped up to the plate and improved many processes at TwinStrand, you have led by example in owning priorities, scoping work, and releasing pipelines for the BioProd team. Your amazing attitude and collaborative efforts have not gone unnoticed and we hope that you know how much we appreciate you.
Wayne makes an effort to understand and document feedback from anyone willing to share it. This is enabling us to start systematically documenting desired improvements to our products based on that feedback. Additionally, this behavior lets teams outside Data Sciences know we are listening, looking for feedback, and making an effort to prioritize those things when possible.
Wayne has done a fantastic job on the Connectivity project. Everything is managed and done on-time without much fuss.
One of Wayne's strongest skills is the ability to understand the software from the end-user standpoint. He has been highly involved in not just the initial stages of data requirements but has followed the data through the pipeline. This enables Wayne to see all of the issues and understand where the bottlenecks are.
The documentation generated for V2 Chemistry is the first of its kind generated at TwinStrand, and Wayne did an exceptional job in setting the standard for these documents moving forward, especially with no existing examples to reference.
