Some were faster; some were slower; some ran a helluva lot farther but Wayne finished the 5K race at the Amsterdam Marathon on Sunday 207th out of 720 men’s entrants.
Distance: 5 kilometers (3.1 miles)
Time: 25:13
Pace: 11.9 km/hr (7.4 miles/hour)

Too bad they couldn’t take a picture of the entire racer.

Start/Finish: Amsterdam 1928 Olympic Stadium

WOW, That was pretty cool. I didn’t realize you did running races. I was really proud. Lis said you had been to a race and needed a ‘lie down’ when I talked on Sunday. Way to go !!!!!

Yeah Wayne! I would think the Dutch know how to take pictures of tall people. Hope all is well.

Hadn’t looked at your site for a long time. the house looks wonderful. Maybe sometime a visit. Hope you all will come here. Glad to have you State side again. Oliver is so handsome. Will love seeing him in person sometime. The three of you need to see the round house, Oregon Trail and etc. SOOMETIME! Your race in Kirkland looked interesting. Our cousin Brad lived there when they first moved North. Take care and have save traveling. Love Aunt rosie

Just wanted to say hello. My mother sent me a link to find out where people with our last name live across the globe.
And I found a Wakeman living in Amsterdam! Can’t say I expected that! And an athlete at that. Not quite what I expected.
All the best,
Seth Wakeman
