Oliver Brent Wakeman is here at last. He was born at 9:45 pm on August 7th and weighed 9 lbs, 6 oz (4.26 kg). Oliver and his Mom and Dad are exhausted but doing well.

Baby Oliver is beautiful! I couldn’t wait for picts to arrive by email, so I had to sneak a peek here. Glad I did, because he’s super. And the parents are pretty super, too.

Congratulations you two. You did a great job and he is a very handsome young man. It is fun to see the pictures this soon. We will expect more as the years go on.
Advice: (you did expect some, didn’t you?)
Just keep his tummy full!! It will be a major project.

Additional comment. I was in a hurry when I first looked at the pictures and thought I should make a comment of some kind. As I went on to my next commitment I was thinking that I should have taken the opportunity to tell how thrilled I am that at long last the Wakeman name has someone to carry it on. As I told you earlier in your life you were our last hope. I guess a big thank-you is in order for that and I realize that Lis is primarily responsible for the event. I think Grandpa and Grandma are pleased with Oliver Wakeman. At first I wasn’t too sure about the Oliver but saying it like (without the Brent)makes me think it’s a good choice.
I am glad you put the Brent there though. All in all, I guess you would say we are as pleased as punch.
